Christian Bieri, Managing Director, Products, Swiss Reinsurance Company Canada

Christian is head of Swiss Re’s underwriting hub in Toronto, dealing with Canadian, English Caribbean as well as Latin American business.   

Christian’s prior roles within Swiss Re were as head of the Property and Casualty treaty desk with Swiss Re Iberica in Madrid, Spain, and as Treaty Property Underwriter in Swiss Re’s Zurich office.  Christian was also previously a consultant with McKinsey & Company in Zurich.

Christian earned his Master’s degree in Industrial Management and Manufacturing from the Federal Institute of Technology, in Zurich, Switzerland.

Christian is married and lives in Toronto.  He is involved with several sports such as running, biking, and cross country skiing, and enjoys reading and travelling.
