John R. Berger, President & CEO, Harbor Point Limited

John Berger is President and Chief Executive Officer of Harbor Point Limited, having formed the company in December, 2005. 

Prior to Harbor Point, John was President, CEO, and Founder of Chubb Re, a subsidiary of the Chubb Corporation.  Chubb Re began operations as a global reinsurance company in August, 1998.

He was one of the original members of the F&G Re team and started with the Company at its inception in October, 1983.  He was responsible for the Casualty Department until 1991 when he became Executive Vice President in charge of all underwriting for F&G Re.  In 1996, John became President and CEO.

John has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Princeton University, a M.B.A. from Rutgers University and is a CPCU.

John Berger has been married 31 years to an attorney and has three daughters.
