Jonathan Simmons, BSc (Hons), ACA, CA, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP

Jonathan is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ insurance practice where he serves brokers, property and casualty, life and reinsurance companies. His clients include public companies listed in Toronto and subsidiaries and branches of foreign companies listed in the US and Europe.

Jonathan began his career auditing insurance companies in London, England and transferred to Toronto in 1997. He was admitted as a partner in 2002.

In addition to providing financial statement and Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls audit services, his experience includes capital markets, due diligence, US GAAP and IFRS conversion, regulatory compliance and licensing assignments.

He is an advisor to The Insurance Bureau of Canada, a member of the OSFI Auditors Advisory Committee and a frequent contributor to PwC’s insurance thought leadership publications. He serves as a Director of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation.
