 Trained as an economist, Mario Albert has worked for Québec’s Finance Ministry as well as the Canadian Department of Finance. A seasoned manager, he has held numerous positions, including Secretary of the Québec Government’s Commission on Fiscal Imbalance and, until very recently, Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for economic and budgetary revenue analysis and forecasting.
In his position as Superintendent, Distribution at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), Mr. Albert is able to draw on his solid management background and extensive knowledge of government operations to make a significant contribution at the senior management level and bolster the AMF’s strategic vision.
