 Neil is a partner in KPMG LLP and national director of the Canadian firm’s Insurance Industry Practice, based in Toronto. He has over 30 years of experience in audit and advisory services for life insurers, property & casualty insurers, reinsurers and brokers. He has led or participated in a wide variety of insurance projects, and has contributed to studies on insurance regulatory matters in Canada and internationally.
Neil is a member of the Canadian Accounting Standards Board’s Insurance Accounting Task Force, and of the Canadian federal regulator’s auditors advisory committees for both P&C and life insurance. He previously chaired and co-chaired CICA task forces on audit matters related to actuaries, and served as accounting adviser to the Canadian Institute of Actuaries task force on reinsurance. He is a frequent speaker and writer on insurance subjects.
