Nic De Maesschalck, Director WFII, the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries

Having been educated at the Antwerpse Handelshogeschool , where he studied Finance and International Trade (Licentiaat Handels-en Financiële Wetenschappen / Consulaire Wetenschappen), Nic began his career at BIPAR  in September 1992 as Economist.  
 
In 1997, he became Deputy Director of BIPAR.

In 1999, he coordinated the setting up of WFII, the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries, of which he became the Director in 2000.

In 2002, he coordinated the setting up of POI, Partners of Intermediaries aisbl, of which he became the director in the same year.    

In June 2006 he became also the director of BIPAR, The European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries.

Nic lives in Belgium; he is married and has an 8 year old son, Louis, and a 5 year old daughter, Léa.
