Terry OReilly, Writer, Director

After finishing Ryerson’s Radio and Television Arts program in 1981, went on to work in the creative departments of some of the most awarded ad agencies in Canada including Campbell Ewald, Lowe Goodgoll, Doyle Dane Bernbach and Chiat/Day.

Co-founds Pirate Radio and Television in 1990, specializing in the writing and directing of radio commercials, and the creation of music and sound for television. Pirate grows to become the largest and most awarded audio production company in Canada, with nine recording studios in Toronto and New York, three production suites, a sound-effects division, a casting company and a branded entertainment department.

Hosts the popular radio series, “The Age of Persuasion” airing on CBC Radio One in Canada and across North America on Sirius Satellite.

Has won over 400 national and international awards for writing and directing.  Was given the 2006 Les Usherwood Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the advertising industry’s highest honours. Was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Legends in January, 2009.

Has a wonderful wife and three lovely daughters. Who like some of his work.
