Won J. Kim is the founding and managing partner of REKO. Won’s practice focuses on class actions and commercial litigation. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on class actions and has been repeatedly ranked by Lexpert/American Lawyer as one of Canada’s leading class action practitioners. In 2005, Won was selected as one of 25 litigators to watch in Lexpert/American Lawyer guide to the top 500 lawyers in Canada.

Won is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation.

Since 1994, Won has served as the editor in chief of the Canadian Cases on the Law of Insurance (CCLI) published by Carswells. He is the author of the upcoming Annotated Class Proceedings Act and the text on Class Action Practice in Canada to be published by Carswell in 2006.

Won is a past Member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO), a member of the Expert Advisory Committe to the Canadian Blood Services, the founding director of the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association and a member of the Advocates’ Society.
