Bryon has led Aon Benfield Analytics since joining the firm in 1994. He has also led the development of the investment banking business. Bryon served as a founding board member for Endurance (NYSE: ENH), a Bermuda based insurer and reinsurer. He led Aon Capital Market’s efforts to develop the business plan for Endurance and raise its initial $1.2 billion in capital. He has led efforts to raise private equity, hedge fund, side car, catastrophe bond or contingent capital for clients following significant industry catastrophic losses in 1994, 2001 and 2005.
Bryon is a regular consultant to state and federal government officials on matters related to catastrophe insurance and reinsurance. He has extensive experience with legislative matters and has authored language that has become law in four states.
Joining the company after eight years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance audit and consulting practices of Coopers & Lybrand, he is a graduate of Illinois State University with a BS in accounting and has passed the certified public accountant exam. He has served as an advisory board member of the Katie School of Insurance at Illinois State University. Additionally, he is a member of Aon Benfield’s Board and serves as a member of its Executive Committee.
