Cameron Copeland is President of Specialty Program Group Canada which operates leading MGA brands Cansure, i3 Underwriting, and Beacon. Cansure is Canada’s largest commercial P&C MGA serving customers from SME to upper-middle market. i3 Underwriting is a leading complex risk MGA most known for complex casualty expertise. Beacon is Canada’s largest specialty personal lines MGA offering non-standard habitational, watercraft, off-road vehicle, and special events coverage nationally. Specialty Claims Canada is the in-house examining team who provide claim services to the group. Cameron began his insurance career in 2003 with AIG. He joined Cansure in 2011 and grew the company with partners, becoming president in 2017 and expanding operations as the SPGC group. Cameron is a Queens MBA alumnus and holds CPA, FCIP, and CRM designations.
Cameron is an advocate of the insurance industry and contributes as a non-voting member of the Insurance Council of BC and advisory board member to the Insurance Program at BCIT. Cansure has been recognized by the insurance community with many awards such as leading specialist insurer in several industry segments and as MGA of the year 2019.
