Chris joined Guy Carpenter in September of 2016 as a Managing Director and member of GC Canada’s Leadership Team. During a 15-year career in financial services, Chris has gained vast experience through leadership of actuarial, product, underwriting and analytics functions and is knowledgeable in both broker and direct primary distribution models.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Chris served as the Chief Underwriting Officer at Economical Insurance, responsible for personal, commercial, and specialty lines of business. Chris also served as the executive lead for the strategic development and implementation of Economical’s direct-to-consumer channel, Sonnet Insurance.
Chris is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He attended the University of Waterloo, where he is presently a part-time lecturer in the Actuarial Department of the Math Faculty. In addition, Chris has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University and is currently completing a Master’s in Behavioral Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
