Currently a Senior Vice President and National Director of Large/Strategic Accounts within Aon’s Construction & Infrastructure Services group, David provides construction risk advisory and broking services to clients in the mid, large and mega project marketplace.
David’s areas of risk transfer expertise include contractor insurances, project insurances, contract surety, contractor default insurance/Subguard and other alternative performance security solutions. His expertise in risk advisory services include contractual risk transfer advice, Contractor Enterprise Risk Assessment (CERA), Project Enterprise Risk Assessment (PERA), and communication of both contractor and project risk profile to project stakeholders (ie., rating agencies, debt, equity, contractors, subcontractors, consultants). Such services are widely utilized in the large and mega project sector of the infrastructure marketplace, in particular in the public-private-partnership space (PPPs/PFIs/IPPs) and the growing Enterprise Asset Management market place.
David has had various speaking engagements on construction and infrastructure risk including events held by Canadian Council for Public Private Partnerships, The Canadian Institute, The Canadian Risk and Insurance Management Society, The Oil Sands Forum, Federated Press, Infonex, The Pacific Business & Law Institute, and several other conference organizers serving the construction and infrastructure space. Additionally, he has written numerous articles on construction and infrastructure risk and has a permanent column on Risk in On-Site/Heavy Construction News.
