David is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at CNA Hardy, with 30 years’ experience in the global insurance market.
David is a member of a number of boards, including both Hardy Underwriting Agencies (HUA) and CNA Insurance Companies LTD (CICL).
Joining the company in May 2013, David was responsible for leading the international underwriting team, and developing a broadened International strategy, including a strengthening of Home Foreign business and an expansion of international capabilities. As a result of this, CNA Europe merged with Hardy underwriting in 2014.
Previously, David held a number of senior roles at ACE Canada, including Division President and Chief Underwriting Officer. Prior to that, he spent 19 at years’ Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
David holds a bachelor’s degree, with honours, in Business Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara.
