Dr. Neilank K. Jha

Neurosurgeon

Dr. Neilank Jha completed his residency in Neurosurgery and Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at McMaster University and the University of Toronto, respectively, and has focused his professional career on mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI)/Post Concussive Syndrome (PCS).

He subsequently completed his MBA with a focus on Forensic Accounting & Data Analytics from Ivey Business School, where he has since served as a Visiting Professor for the undergraduate Ivey business program.

Thereafter, he completed his MSc. from the London School of Economics in Behavioural Economics and Cognitive Psychology.

Dr. Jha served as the Founding Editor in Chief of ‘Current Research: Concussion,’ the first International Peer Reviewed Medical Journal dedicated to mTBI research.

In 2015, Dr. Jha Chaired the International Concussion Conference in Toronto, Ontario, which was attended by leading experts in mTBI across North America. The conference resulted in a White Paper Publication.

He has also worked collaboratively to establish the Worker Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) mTBI program in the province of Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Jha’s medical practice is focused largely on mTBI/PCS. On a daily basis, he sees patients with mTBI and is retained on matters related to mTBI.

Dr. Jha has worked with various Professional Sports Leagues (NHL, NCAA, Pop Warner, CFL, among others) with respect to mTBI and he sits on various Medical Advisory Boards. He has consulted for various international companies related to imaging and diagnostic technology connected with mTBI.  He has also served as Chairman, CEO and Director in various firms connected to mTBI, and has led teams in Forensic Accounting, Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions.

Dr. Jha’s unique experiences and education allow him to analyze mTBIs and other medical conditions from a medical, legal and economic perspective. This unique approach is crucial in order to achieve the optimum settlement for both the insurers and insured.
