Gregor Robinson

SVP Policy & Chief Economist, IBC

Gregor has over 37 years of experience in economics and policy development. He has worked in various economist and policy positions for Ontario’s Ministries of Finance, Energy, and Natural Resources. He served as President of Plain Language and Design Inc. (PLD Consultants – Plain Language Economics) for over 20 years. Most recently, he served as Vice-President, Policy & Economic Analysis, for the Ontario Energy Association.

Having joined IBC in 2011, Gregor leads strategic research and economic analysis to address public policy matters affecting the property and casualty insurance industry and its consumers.

Gregor is a past President of World Literacy Canada and a former member of the Board of Directors for St. Stephen’s Community House.  He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Gregor is an accomplished author and has been published in journals and magazines across Canada and the United States.
