Jean-Jacques Henchoz has been Hannover Re’s Chief Executive Officer since May 2019.
He has served in a number of different roles with Swiss Re since 1998. In 2005 he was appointed as CEO of Swiss Re Canada. From 2011 onwards Jean-Jacques led Swiss Re’s EMEA Division, taking responsibility for both the life and non-life businesses in the region. In 2012 he was appointed as a Member of the Group Executive Committee in this capacity.
Jean-Jacques holds a Degree in Political Science and received his MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
