John P. Doucette is President and CEO of the Reinsurance Division. For the previous five years he held the title of Chief Underwriting Officer of Everest Re Group. Prior to this, he was head of Enterprise Risk Management for the Group, having joined the Company in 2008 as Executive Vice President.
Prior to Everest, Mr. Doucette worked at Max Re Capital Ltd. from 2000 to 2008, as President and Chief Underwriting Officer of the P&C Reinsurance division, where he was responsible for new products and geographic expansion. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director at Swiss Re New Markets between 1997 and 2000, a division of Swiss Reinsurance Company, where he held various pricing, structuring and underwriting roles in connection with alternative risk transfer and structured products. He worked at Tillinghast as a consultant from 1989 to 1997.
Mr. Doucette graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Biometry from Cornell University.
