Joseph J. Turcotte is vice president, operations claims manager for FM Global’s Toronto operations. Joe is responsible for managing the overall claims operations in Canada. He has direct responsibility for Claims related matters for the company. Joe leads customer and broker workshops teaching basic and advanced property insurance as well as business interruption and subrogation strategies.
Appointed to his current position in 1999, Joe previously served as Manager of Loss Adjusting for Factory Mutual Engineering. He joined the company in 1985 as a Loss Prevention Engineer and moved into claims in 1987.
Before joining Factory Mutual Engineering Joe Turcotte worked as a construction engineer at the Bruce Nuclear Power Generating Station in Southern Ontario.
Joe received a degree in Applied Science and Technology Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. He is a registered professional engineer in the Province of Ontario; a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario; a Registered Professional Adjuster; and is a member of Insurance Institute of Ontario.
