Nick Donovan is the Head of Market Development at Lloyd’s. In this role, Nick is responsible both for attracting the world’s best specialty and commercial (re)insurers onto the Lloyd’s platform and supporting all syndicates as they seek to make the most of the Lloyd’s market’s unique advantages. Nick also advocates the benefits of the Lloyd’s market to a range of trade and institutional capital providers and their advisors.
Nick joined Lloyd’s in 2022 from PwC, where he was a Director leading technology-based transformations for specialty insurers, MGAs and brokers. Previously Nick worked at RSA plc in a variety of roles including strategic planning, global portfolio management and latterly leading Sales & Client Management for RSA’s Global Risks business in the London Market and across Europe. Previously Nick spent seven years as a strategy consultant with Booz & Company, advising life insurers, commercial & investment banks and wealth managers. Nick also worked at BBC New Media, where he was part of the team that set up the Radio Player, the precursor to the BBC’s iPlayer.
Nick has a BA from Oxford University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
