Steve’s responsibilities include: leading the University’s enterprise risk management strategy, overseeing the insurance portfolio, as well as oversight of the University’s Safety and Emergency Management function.
Steve holds the RIMS Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) and the Canadian Insurance Professional (CIP) designations.
He is a former member of the Advisory Board of the Canadian Universities Reciprocal Exchange (CURIE); a former member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) Board of Directors and was the Society’s Vice President in 2019. Currently, Steve is the Chair of the RIMS Canada Council.
