Taryn is an undergraduate student at the Smith School of Business of Queen’s University. Taryn was born and raised in Ontario, but spent most of high school in Halifax, NS, before returning home and beginning her first year at Queen’s.
Now in her fourth year of her undergraduate degree, Taryn has become very involved in student life on campus. She spent three years with Queen’s Women in Leadership taking on roles such as Logistics Coordinator and Co-chair. She is also very involved with the Commerce Society student government and currently holds the elected position of Vice President of Student Affairs, overseeing all of the Queen’s Commerce conferences, committees, and competitions. In this role, Taryn is also responsible for representing the best interests of Commerce students in various university-wide discussions.
Taryn’s professional experience includes three summer internships. Her first two summers were spent with RBC in recruitment, and subsequently, in procurement. In her procurement internship, Taryn was introduced to management consulting procurement and this led to her internship with Monitor Deloitte this past summer.
