As Vice-President, Underwriting at RSA’s Global Specialty Lines (GSL) division, Bernard has senior responsibility for appetite, capacity and pricing across all products lines within GSL. These include Property, Casualty, Commercial Fleet, Equipment Breakdown Insurance, Construction, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining, Power Generation, Chemical Risks, D&O, E&O, Fidelity and Surety. Bernard also oversees all international placements and Engineering/Risk Control Services at RSA.
Prior to joining RSA, Bernard was the Sr. V.P. of Claims at GCAN Insurance. He also held progressive positions at Lombard Canada, CGU Insurance and ACE-INA Insurance over an 18 year career in Claims.
Bernard is a graduate of the University of Toronto and holds an FIIC designation.
