Bruce has been with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions for 30 years – originally joining a predecessor organisation: The Department of Insurance in 1978.
During his varied tenure in analytical, examination and supervisory roles in the Property and Casualty field Bruce has been integrally involved the wide array of issues facing the P&C industry and government initiatives.
Currently Bruce is a Director of OSFI’s Monitoring and Analytic Support Division, and previously was a Director of OSFI’s Financial Institutions Group. He is also OSFI’s representative to the Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators and the Property and Casualty Compensation Corporation.
Most recently, Bruce was engaged in developing and implementing OSFI’s Business Intelligence initiative to enhance its early monitoring and assessment capabilities.
Bruce holds both his MBA and BA degrees from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.
