Robert Merizzi is Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President, Business Systems Transformation with Aviva Canada Inc.
Robert joins us from Sun Life Financial where he held the position of Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence with accountability for building global-operational programs that deliver cost effective business processes. Prior to Sun Life, he was Senior Executive and Head of IT Global Service Delivery for Zurich Financial Services with accountability for operational transformation and business change management.
In this role, Robert leads a team that has a technology and business systems transformation mandate – focused on operations improvement, technology transformation, and business process management. Leveraging communities of excellence and working in partnership with the Aviva North America (ANA) IT team, the GI IT CIO and Business Systems Transformation focuses on the transformation of the GI IT core business solutions systems, including policy administration, billing, claims, document management and workflow, and broker/customer solutions across Aviva Canada.
Robert holds a Masters in Information Technology and is a Certified Management Accountant, as well as being fully bilingual.
