With a career in the insurance industry spanning over 25 years, Christian Fournier has been Beneva’s Executive Vice-President and Lead of Property and Casualty Insurance since its creation in 2020. A vice-president at La Capitale since 2013, he was serving as Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of La Capitale General Insurance when the company joined forces with SSQ Insurance.
As a Université Laval graduate and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society, Christian Fournier has held a number of strategic positions in the P&C insurance industry in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada. His in-depth knowledge, desire for innovation, strategic thinking and accountability-based leadership are vectors of success for the company.
In addition to his involvement with various charitable causes, Christian Fournier has served on the boards of the Insurance Bureau of Canada and the Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporative since 2018.
