In an insurance career that has spanned over 25 years, Angelique Magi has held positions of increasing seniority with a wide range of capacities within the property-casualty insurance industry. These include underwriting, claims and portfolio management positions in both the personal and commercial lines areas, with both domestic and international markets. In 2012 Angelique moved to The Guarantee to build out their first new Specialty Line in 25 years, The Guarantee Transportation Solution, commercial insurance focusing on the transportation industry sector. In her current role with The Guarantee, she has responsibility for new product opportunity assessments, strategic development and innovation, as well as the P&L of the Transportation Segment for the company. Angelique authors articles and speaks on insurance and transportation topics including the use of telematics in risk mitigation, the impact of cargo crime, and behavioral analytics for future pricing models. She is an active committee member for the Canadian Trucking Alliance’s Team Canada Elite and a member of the Commercial Lines Standing Committee with the Insurance Bureau of Canada. She is also a past member of the board of directors for HR Trucking Canada and a founding member of Women With Drive. A graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine Florida with a BA in Political Science, she has her CIP designation through the Insurance Institute of Canada.
