Bernard Dupont

Managing Director, Insurance Capital, OSFI

Bernard has 21 years of experience as a regulator with OSFI. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from the University of Montréal and he is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA). Over the years he held various positions in the Actuarial Division including Director of the non-life insurance sector.

Currently he is Managing Director in the Capital Division, responsible for insurance capital measurement. He is in charge of developing and revising guidelines and policies for capital and related rules, particularly as they pertain to insurance companies in Canada. Bernard also represents OSFI on the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) Solvency & Actuarial Issues Subcommittee.
