Brendan Smyth is Senior Vice President and Product Manager for Liberty Mutual Global Specialty which encompasses Liberty Specialty Markets, Liberty International Underwriters, and Liberty Mutual Surety. In this role, he’s responsible for developing and leading various global initiatives pertaining to product management, underwriting operations, and innovation.
Brendan joined Liberty Mutual in 2002 via the Financial Management Program taking on various management roles across the finance function upon completion. He is also an alumnus of Liberty Mutual’s Corporate Development Program having led initiatives across Liberty in underwriting, claims, marketing, and reinsurance. Prior to joining LM Global Specialty, Brendan was Director of Operations for Liberty Mutual Reinsurance driving improvements in process, technology, marketing, and aviation product management.
Brendan earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University with a minor in IT and his MBA from Babson College.
