Caspar Honegger joined Swiss Re in 2009. He acquired in depth knowledge of natural catastrophe re/insurance underwriting through developing costing tools and extensive underwriting stints in Singapore, Zurich and Munich. His main responsibilities include the development of probabilistic flood underwriting tools and internal and external coaching on flood risk. The last three years Mr. Honegger led the model development of Swiss Re’s river flood and storm surge models.
Before joining Swiss Re, Mr. Honegger worked for two years as a flood model developer at Risk Management Solutions (RMS) in London. He has an MSc in Engineering from ETH Zurich.
