Chris Kiah is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Allstate Insurance Company of Canada and a Vice President of the Allstate Insurance Company (USA). Chris is accountable for the Allstate Canada Group of Companies property and casualty insurance business, including the Allstate Insurance Company of Canada, Pembridge Insurance Company and Pafco Insurance Company.
Chris has been with Allstate Corporation for 14 years, joining the company in 1996 with an insurance and finance background. He has held a variety of leadership positions throughout the organization, including roles in Finance and Planning, Treasury Services, Mergers and Acquisitions, Allstate Bank, and Field Operations. He was an assistant field vice president prior to joining the Allstate Canada Group of Companies in November, 2008.
Chris serves on the Board of Directors of both the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) and the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction. He is also a member of the IBC’s National Auto Insurance Committee. Previously, he was associated with several external organizations in the United States. He was a board member of SafeAmerica Foundation, a not-for-profit organization and Allstate Foundation partner, focused on promoting safe driving skills and habits among teens. Chris was also active in the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, serving on its board of advisors.
Prior to joining Allstate, Chris worked for Chubb Corporation in both the US and the UK.
Chris has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also attained his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in August of 2007.
Chris and his wife Debbie have four children together, Evan, Sean, Ryan and Teagan. In his leisure time, Chris volunteers for coaching duties related to his boys’ sports endeavours. He is also an avid golfer and skier
