Deborah Moor is President, Lloyd’s Canada, acting as the general representative for Lloyd’s underwriters in Canada. She assumed this role in May 2008 and is in the process of establishing Lloyd’s first office in Toronto. Lloyd’s has maintained an office in Montreal since 1932.
Prior to taking up this role, Deborah worked in the International Licensing team with Lloyd’s in London, working on projects to establish licences in the Middle East and India. She also spent 6 years as Head, Ratings and Investor Relations at Lloyd’s, with responsibility for managing the ratings process for the three interactive insurance ratings of the Lloyd’s Market and for developing and managing the programme of communications to the holders of Lloyd’s publicly traded debt, and the wider debt and equity analyst community, both in the UK and abroad.
Prior to joining Lloyd’s, Deborah worked for Canadian Airlines in Calgary in various positions, including Director, Product Planning and Director, Insurance. She holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School (University of Western Ontario, Canada) and an Honours degree in Applied Economics from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
She lives in Oakville Ontario with her husband and two daughters and makes pilgrimages back to the Canadian Rockies for some real skiing whenever possible.
