James (Jim) B. Falle, F.C.A is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with Aviva Canada Inc., a position he has held since he joined the company in July of 2007. As Chief Financial Officer Jim oversees the Finance, Actuarial, Legal and Compliance, Reinsurance and Corporate Development teams.
Jim is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A) with over 25 years of senior executive experience in the Canadian Financial Services arena. Prior to joining Aviva Canada Jim held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with AEGON Canada. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Zurich Canada. He also has over 10 years experience as a CFO in the Foreign Banking community in Canada with both Bank of America Canada and Paribas Bank of Canada.
Jim is an alumnus of a predecessor firm of KPMG in Canada and has been actively involved in Industry Associations over the years including, CICA CFO Task Force, CLHIA CFO Working Group, Insurance Bureau of Canada Financial Affairs Committee and the Canadian Bankers Association Financial Affairs Committee.
Amongst his interests outside of work Jim is a novice Polo player, an avid equestrian and enjoys golf.
