Javinder Sidhu is the Director of the Advanced Climate Analytics and Disclosures team with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI). Previously, he was the Director in OSFI’s Accounting Policy Division focused on the implementation of IFRS 9 and OSFI’s Pillar 3 disclosure requirements.
Javinder was involved in the drafting of OSFI’s Draft Guideline B-15 – Climate Risk Management, specifically focusing on disclosure expectations for federally regulated financial institutions. He is working closely with internal and external stakeholders to address climate-related data gaps and building regulatory data requirements.
Javinder is a Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA) in Ontario and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the Ryerson University. He is actively involved in OSFI’s Inclusion Network and was a co-lead of the Unconscious Bias employee resource group for the past three years.
