Ken Lindhardsen

Vice President, Accident Benefits and Bodily Injury, Desjardins General Insurance Group

Ken Lindhardsen is Vice-President of Accident Benefits and Bodily Injury for Desjardins General Insurance Group (DGIG). In this role, he is responsible for managing the Casualty and Special Investigations areas within Claims Operations with a focus on indemnity control, client experience, efficiency, and employee engagement.

Ken joined DGIG in 1996 as a Sales Agent and progressed to a Section Manager position in Sales and Service, before joining Claims as the Director of the Claims Client Care Centre for the Ontario, Atlantic, and Western Regions. From there, he moved to Vice-President, Claims Operations and Legal Counsel for the Ontario, Atlantic, and Western Regions, before assuming his current responsibilities.

Ken is a founding and current board member of Canadian National Insurance Crime Services (CANATICS), a not-for-profit organization that uses state-of-the art technology to support the fight against auto insurance fraud in Canada. He is the former chair of the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) National Claims Committee and a former member of the IBC Insurance Crime Strategic Committee.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo and completed the Insurance Call Centre Management Program at Centennial College in Toronto.

Ken is a strong supporter of the United Way and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

He and his wife Kara are the proud parents of a son, Aidan.
