Laura Cooper

Laura Cooper is Vice-Chair of Fasken Martineau’s Ontario Litigation Department and Co-Chair of the Class Actions Practice Group. Laura is an experienced commercial litigator with extensive experience in class actions. She has represented clients in numerous class actions in the areas of competition, securities, product liability, mass torts and employment. Laura’s practice in commercial litigation has focused on providing advice and representation to clients on a wide variety of commercial disputes, in claims such as breach of contract, misrepresentation, oppression, and breach of fiduciary duties. Laura has represented and advised clients in respect of injunctions, disputes arising from distributorship agreements and litigation in respect of technology agreements. Laura has also participated in complex alternate dispute resolution processes in respect of a number of matters and been involved in the development and implementation of a number of complicated settlement agreements.
