Linda holds a degree in actuarial science from Laval University and is Senior Vice-President of Claims at Desjardins General Insurance Group (DGIG).
Since joining DGIG in 1986, she has managed teams in corporate and operational underwriting, customer relations, sales competency development and, starting in 2012, claims. Her career path has provided solid and varied experience in property and casualty insurance.
She has the ability to manage major projects, as evidenced by her leadership in a number of key national initiatives, including the acquisition of CIBC subsidiaries in 2000, the recent integration of State Farm’s Canadian claims teams and her new role leading a project to overhaul DGIG’s core business systems.
Linda has always had a client focus, and since 2009, she has been working hard to change the way we think about and manage insurance risk from product design through to distribution and claims. She believes the best way to improve the client experience is by delivering solutions that meet customers’ needs and expectations in terms of insurance coverage, service, support and helpful advice.
Linda feels strongly about giving back. She supports the causes that are dear to her heart and encourages her employees to get involved in their communities.
