Linda Van den Brink

AVP Counsel, Bond and Specialty Insurance Claim, Travelers Canada

Linda Van den Brink is the AVP Specialty Insurance Claim Unit at Travelers Canada.  She oversees the
team of claim professionals handling all Specialty Claims including Directors & Officers Liability, Errors
Omissions, Crime, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary, Cyber Liability and Kidnap & Ransom.

Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Dalhousie University, an MSc in Industrial
Relations and Human Resource Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science,
and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario.  She is a member of the Law Society
of Upper Canada (2009) and she did her articles at a large Toronto Law firm, with a focus on Commercial
Litigation and Labour & Employment Law.

Before joining Travelers in 2017, Linda worked as Senior Claims Counsel handling complex claims in all
specialty lines.  Linda’s claims experience includes managing large cross-border securities class actions and
claims in foreign jurisdictions against large private and public Canadian companies.  Linda has also been
handling and managing Cyber claims for over 10 years.

Linda has extensive experience and training in the field of alternative dispute resolution in both the private
and non-for-profit sectors.   Before pursuing her law degree, she worked in the non-for-profit sector as a
Mediator.  She completed the Advanced Certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University.
