Lorie is a business leader with 30+ years of insurance brokerage and business management experience. Currently, Lorie is the President of the Canadian Broker Network, the leading national network of independent insurance brokers. Together, CBN members represent more than $2.7 billion in property casualty premiums as well as employee benefits, life and financial services.
Prior to her eight year tenure at CBN, she held a variety of leadership roles at both Canadian and International brokerages most recently as President of ingenie Canada, where she lead the launch of this UK based digital brokerage providing telematics based car insurance to young drivers.
Throughout her career, she has served on various Boards and Committees including: Chair of the Insurance Institute of Canada’s Academic Council, President of RIBO, Board member of CSIO, Board member of Toronto Crime Stoppers and Board Member and Audit Committee Chair of Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Today she is a Board Member of ISC Group, which is an organization committed to advancing women’s careers within the Insurance Industry as well as a Committee Member of the National CCIR NatCat Consumer Awareness & Fair Treatment of Consumers Working Group.
