Mark Bailey

Mr. Bailey is a Director of MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists, a consulting firm specializing in technical investigations and expert witness and services. In his 22 year career he has worked with insurers, adjusting firms and law firms throughout North America analyzing numerous failures of consumer products, building components and machinery that led to leaks, floods, fires, explosions and other breakdowns. He has testified as an expert witness in civil courts and arbitrations in many provinces and states.

MEA’s engineers and scientists investigate a wide variety of losses and accidents from offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Los Angeles. Practice areas include transportation, injury biomechanics, property, product litigation, and aviation. The firm also conducts research using its own laboratory and crash test facilities and regularly contributes to peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Mr. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Applied Science degree in Metals & Materials Engineeringis, both from the University of British Columbia. He is a licensed professional mechanical and metallurgical engineer.
