Mark is responsible for insurance accounting policy matters at OSFI, the Canadian prudential regulator for federally registered financial institutions. He also represents OSFI on the accounting subcommittees of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.
Mark joined OSFI in 1998 and has held a number of positions there, primarily within OSFI’s Supervision sector, including Director, Financial Institutions Group where he led the OSFI prudential supervisory activities on a portfolio of P&C and non-conglomerate life insurers.
Mark is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Financial Risk Manager. Mark earned his MBA and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degrees from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
