Robyn is a second-generation Insurance Broker, working within her family brokerage Lundgren & Young Insurance (L&Y), ultimately purchasing 50% of the brokerage in 2014. IN 1993, Robyn began her career at another family business, Southland Registrations, and worked her way up through the company before moving to L&Y full time in 2016 as the VP Finance & Administration. Robyn served in several management roles at L&Y over the past 16 years, ultimately assuming the position of President & CEO in 2018. During this time the business has been focused on improvement with a view to achieving a quality mix of business and with a focus on operational excellence. In 2021, Lundgren & Young Insurance partnered with the Excel Insurance Group, a like minded group of Independent Insurance Brokers, and formed Excel & Y Insurance Services Ltd, under which the business operates today.
Robyn is a dedicated and passionate Insurance Professional. She is currently the President of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC), only the 3rd woman to hold this position in the organizations 100 years. In the past, Robyn has served on the board of directors of the Centre for the Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) and is also a past president of the Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta (IBAA) and the Association of Alberta Registry Agents (AARA). Robyn currently sits on the board of directors for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB).
Robyn lives in Calgary with her husband Neil with their 3 Dawgs, and loves to travel, game and golf and spend time on the back of her Harley.
